How long will my character mascot last?
Our costumes are made to last several years with constant wear however it depends on the amount of care and handling. We recommend with regular cleaning and maintenance and following our care guidelines [provided with each costume] your Animal & Odd-Bod Creators mascot costume can last many years beyond your expectations. After 30 years of trading, some of our mascots made back in the 70s are still going strong!
Should we hire a professional to wear our new mascot costume?
Yes you can, there are some great performers around and we can help you with some names. Or you can start by using an employee from your office and see how you go. We’re very considerate of the wearer when constructing our costumes and make them as user friendly as possible following the clients’ design brief. We're happy to provide you with appearance guidelines if you need tips on how to bring your mascot to life.
What size should the wearer be?
We recommend the wearer to be no larger than say size 12 roughly and roughly 165 - 175cm in height. Depending on your target audience, characters much taller than this height can be very intimidating to little ones. However if you have a specific person in mind to wear your new costume character, we can make to a specific size.
How do we clean the character costume?
99% of our costume characters are fully hand washable! We provide you with clear step-by-step cleaning instructions. We also provide an ongoing cleaning & maintenance service which most of our clients take full advantage of to ensure their character always looks professional! A dirty, tired, broken costume character does your product/business no good and will send all the wrong messages to your audience about what you do.
